Appraisal & Environmental Coordinator

The Appraisal & Environmental Coordinator is responsible for all the research, communication, coordination, and ordering of real estate due diligence for the collateral used in the loan decisions for Commercial loans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Request comparison vendor bids for appraisal and environmental reports
  • Contacting vendors, lenders and consultants to follow through with the ordering of the reports to be completed.
  • Selection of the appropriate appraiser or consultant to complete the appraisal based on property type and complexity.
  • Understand the markets and communicat frequently with the internal clients in the markets that you are servicing.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of the reports to be completed upon vendor selection
  • Be organized and unafraid to make decisions
  • Coordinate the report review via internal staff or select external vendor to review reports
  • Identify any areas of concern in the appraisal or appraisal review needing troubleshooting
  • Coordinate with Loan Officer to troubleshoot issues and ensure problem resolution is complete.
  • General Real Estate and Appraisal knowledge and capable of learning something new daily
  • Capable and willing to verify and process all vendor payments and tracking of all receipt of payments from customers once trained
  • Continuously verify vendor information including license and E&O information
  • Capable to work on assigned projects and work with other team members to accomplish the goal
  • Able to think creatively within compliance of all regulations pertaining to appraisals and valuations

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commercial and residential real estate
  • Financial training or banking knowledge
  • Team player and personable
  • Able to talk on a phone and email in a business environment
  • Willing to learn and not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Proficient in Database Research
  • Capable of making training videos or willing to learn
  • Knowledge of CoStar (a plus but not required)
  • College Education (a plus but not required)
