WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Analyze import and export documentation to determine the appropriate tariff classification for goods, and correctly calculate duty, GST, and indirect taxes.
Research and interpret customs regulations, tariff schedules, and trade agreements to ensure compliance with local trade regulations
Communicate with external stakeholders, including customs authorities and clients, to resolve clearance-related issues and provide guidance on customs requirements.
Maintain records of classification decisions and provide support during audits and compliance reviews.
Ensure customer databases are kept up to date with accurate information on clearance instructions and supplier product information
This is a full-time permanent position working 38 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00am - 6:00pm
WHAT CAN YOU BRING?
Experience in customs clearance and International freight environments - Essential
Currently studying or completed Diploma of Customs Broking - Essential
Problem Solving & Decision making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Good reporting, data analysis & Microsoft Office skills
Great attention to detail
