Overview

Process all aspects of a weekly, biweekly, multi-state payroll for 3,000 employees in a payroll services environment. Ability to work closely with business partners (i.e. H/R) to ensure accuracy of all employee data.  Analysis of weekly payroll data to ensure accuracy when processing payroll. This includes employee data, taxes, and employee elections and benefits. . Assists in maintaining payroll records and reconciliation for general ledger and assists in reporting payroll information to management, Controllers and business units.



Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing (perform all functions required to process payroll on time and accurately).  Reconciliation of Cycle before posting.
  • Process ledger (all payrolls processed in SF and CA except SFO Union.  J/E’s when required. 
  • Showcase Reports to management, controllers and business partners
  • Provide wage information for internal and external customers.
  • Assist and contribute to the implementation of new and existing payroll systems, processes, etc.
  • Support for Payroll Manager
  • Initiate and reconcile payment of deductions paid by Seneca Falls.  (i.e. United Way)
  • Relocation/Special Projects/New Acquisitions
  • Accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payroll.
  • General Ledger is feed correctly and on time.
  • Review and validate vendor payments for employee and employer contributions, direct deposit information, etc.
  • Update and maintain procedures.
  • Compliance with federal and state payroll rules/regulations and adhere to company practices and policies.


Qualifications



Education:

High School + 5 years experience

Associate’s degree + 3 years of exp

Bachelor’s degree +1 year of exp

Preferred - Accounting I and II College Level

 

Experience:  3-5 years of Payroll/Accounting experience in a multi-state, union/non-union environment Preferred experience in a shared services/centralized services environment.

 

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Strong knowledge of Excel and Word,

Knowledge in ADP Ev5, Kronos or other time collection systems a plus.

Considerable skills in customer service, communication, problem solving,

Detail oriented

Great Level of accuracy and confidentiality
