Responsibilities

As our Human Resuorces Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our most valuable asset – our people. In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and contributing to the overall success of our organization. You will report to the Human Resources Manager, under our DF&H JBT Marel Bevcorp Division.

 

On a given day, you may:

  • Assist the HR Manager will all aspects of the employment life cycle.
  • Assist facility managers in recruiting and selecting candidates, ensuring smooth pre-hire processes.
  • Maintain communication with internal recruiters and recruitment agencies.
  • Collect, maintain, and update employee data (temporary and permanent) in the HRIS system.
  • Oversee the coordination, communication, and execution of the "New Employee Onboarding" process.
  • Educate department heads on employee morale, performance management, and employee functions.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives in HR functions.
  • Help lead employee engagement and specifically the annual "Company Party," "Employee Appreciation Lunches," and “Quarterly Communication Sessions.
  • Create, update, and organize job descriptions, conduct bi-annual audits.
  • Address general HR and administration questions related to employee relations, benefits, pay, payroll, PTO, policies, etc.
  • Assist with HR-related projects, providing research, coordination, and recommendations for future actions.
  • Ensure legal compliance under the guidance of Bevcorp's HR Manager and JBT Marel.
  • Support the payroll function, and serve as payroll backup when needed.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including bi-annual evaluations.
  • Participate in and source training focused on HR topics and cross-training opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation, revision, and distribution of HR and company policies and procedures.
  • Manage all organizational communication related to new initiatives, employees, and changes.
  • Compile and prepare data for management requests.
  • Develop HR-related documents and templates as needed.
  • Maintain and communicate company-wide public documents such as org charts, employee photos, phone lists, policies, monthly newsletter etc.
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards, participating in monthly safety team meetings.
  • HR support of other small regional JBT DF&H business sites, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

Requirements for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources.
  • 1 year of office admin experience.
  • The ability to perform all tasks safely while supporting the organization’s safety initiatives.
  • A positive attitude which aligns with and promotes cultural improvements.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to help support all functions of the organization.
  • You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Travel & Location

  • You will be onsite at our Eastlake, OH facility.
