Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary:

MassBay Community College seeks a qualified part-timeComputed Tomography Instructor for the current and future semesters. The idealcandidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have adesire and ability to work with a diverse population. This instructor providesinstruction and support for students accepted into the Computed Tomographyprogram. This involves developing and updating the curriculum for the ComputedTomography program and ensuring the courses are taught consistently with ARRTstandards. The instructor must be credentialed in Computed Tomography, haverecent computed tomography experience, teaching experience, communicateeffectively, be able to assess students objectively, and work as part of ateam.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teachingand promoting success among a diverse student population. The candidate is expected to commit toexcellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professionaldevelopment. Adjunct faculty areexpected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environmentconductive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member inthis position communicates consistently and effectively with students, facultyand administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period oftime. The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timelygrading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback withassignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.This is a Part-Time non Benefitted position.

Semester, Dates, Times:

Work: Fall (Sept-Dec), Spring (January-May)

Beginning Fall/ Sept-Dec 2025 Courses:
TO 201 Computed Tomography 1 Introduction – 2 credits. Beginin Fall 2025;
TO 214 Computed Tomography Cross-Sectional Anatomy – 2credits. Begins in Fall 2025.

Beginning Spring/ Jan-May 2026 Courses:
TO 202 Computed Tomography II Advanced – 2 credits) beginsin Spring 2026;
TO 215 Computed Tomography Pathology & Procedures – 2credits) begins in Spring 2026.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaboratewith program officials on students’ academic progress and needs;

  • Participatein student instruction and teaching;

  • Participatein the assessment of course and program learning outcomes;

  • FollowCollege protocols and procedures and stay within the curriculum;
  • Communicateeffectively with students, staff, and administration, assess studentsobjectively, and work as part of a team;
  • Staycurrent with developments in the profession on the instructor’s own time;
  • Use theCollege’s technology effectively to communicate with students, colleagues, andadministration;
  • Be timelyin communication;
  • Performsother related duties as assigned by the Dean/dean’s designee.

Minimum Qualifications (per the union specifications):

  • A minimum of four (4) years of recent work experience in a Computed Tomography role or relevant combination of work experience;
  • Some teaching experience/working at a teaching hospital also applies here;

  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
  • Bachelor’sdegree preferred;

  • Onlineteaching experience is preferred;
  • Bilinguallanguage skills.
  • Evidence of a career that includes astrong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion,multi-tasking, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $1397-$1585 DCE per credit.
