Brief Description:

The Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) is responsible for providing therapy to a diverse array of clients (i.e., children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families) at Fuller Arizona Mental Health Services (FAMHS). The LAMFT will see up to 20 clients per week and be paid an hourly wage. Clients will be provided to the LAMFT by FAMHS. This is a part-time position (25-29 hours per week), intended for LAMFTs who are seeking clinical hours toward independent licensure.

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide up to 20 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy to clients (i.e., children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families) each week.
  • Participate in at least one hour of weekly individual supervision from a licensed MFT supervisor provided by FAMHS. As required, will obtain additional supervision (individual or group), consistent with applicable Arizona and FAMHS requirements.
  • Document client interactions consistent with applicable AZBBHE and FAMHS requirements, utilizing FAMHS Electronic Health Records systems.
  • Comply with all other clinic policies and procedures and with the legal and ethical standards of the profession.

 Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Licensed with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a LAMFT
  • Good clinical skills to work with individuals, families and couples
  • Proficient with electronic health records software

Additional Remarks:

  • This position is for associate licensed clinicians seeking additional hours for independent licensure. It is expected that the selected candidate will diligently work towards obtaining the necessary hours for licensure within the first two years.
  • This position is eligible for certain benefits, including sick time for all part-time employees, and paid holidays and PTO for employees who work 20 hours or more per week (not exceeding 29 hours). Health insurance and retirement benefits are not available.
  • Must work at least one evening per week (5PM-8PM).
  •  Ability to provide therapy in a second language (Spanish) is highly preferred.
  • The hourly pay rate is based on 45% of fees collected for therapy services provided. 
  • Must be willing to abide by Fuller Community Standards

Pay Rate:

  • Salary rate the seminary expects to pay: $25 per hour for all administrative duties & $40 - $43 per hours for clinical hours.
