DHL Supply chain are currently seeking a Outsystem Platform Engineer who will serve as a subject matter expert in developing and managing robust web applications using the Outsystems platform (both 011 and ODC environments). This role involves overseeing the entire development lifecycle, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring optimal application performance while maintaining security standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating elegant solutions to complex problems and a commitment to continuous learning in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Your Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Architecting and designing innovative solutions utilizing extensive technical expertise in architecture patterns for robust web applications on the Outsystems platform.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of application development, from interpreting business requirements to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.
  • Enhancing and troubleshooting web application performance to ensure optimal operation and user experience.
  • Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document application requirements.
  • Integrating applications with existing systems and third-party APIs while maintaining comprehensive documentation of designs and specifications.
  • Conducting unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality functionality and performance of applications.
  • Platform Management – Regularly monitor application performance metrics to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest Outsystems platform releases and features, and plan for timely upgrades and patches.
  • Manage the deployment of updates and new features, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting issues related to the Outsystems platform and applications built on it.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to gather feedback on application performance and user experience

What Are We Looking For From You:

  • Advanced knowledge of the Outsystems platform, with proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with databases (SQL) and data modelling.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of working in Agile methodologies (Jira, Scrum).
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, managing projects and processes while prioritizing performance and security.
  • Demonstrate strong adaptability – able to seamlessly adjust to diverse working styles and team dynamics.
  • Ability to bring fresh thinking to their work and takes initiative to learn new tools or approaches.
