Submarine ITS-N - Systems Engineer - Military veterans preferred

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Submarine ITS-N - Systems Engineer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Tactical Solutions Business Area is currently seeking a Submarine ITS-N Systems Engineer. A Systems Engineer, also known as lead systemsanalyst, a network engineer who can also program, or a software engineer whocan also manage networks, is an IT professional who oversees the creation ofhybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to finalroll-out and maintenance. These products are often sophisticated systems thatrun on the web.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible to integrate various network operatingsystems, application programs and hardware devices.
• Managing the development cycle associatedwith producing a resilient software, hardware and web application, includingspecification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
• Setting up and managing Cisco network switches tomeet specific network requirements. Includes setting management IP and defaultgateway, configuring VLANs and adding access ports.
• Supporting onboard installations to include runninghardware/software checks and migrating data from legacy systems onto the newsystem.
• Conducting tests of CANES baseline systems andsoftware.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Experience with TCP/IP and common protocols.
• Experience in building a server to include BIOS andRAID configuration.
• Experience with VMware ESX and vSphere.
• Experience with using Command Line and running scriptsin Powershell and Putty.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Location: Newport, RI

Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)

Clearance: Secret

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
