Overview

What We’re Looking For
As a System Engineer, you will join a specialized team in Texas designated as the Linux Center of Excellence & Automation. In this role, you'll contribute to the development and maintenance of secure, hardened Linux images used across Agency platforms. You'll support a wide range of mission-critical systems including C2E, MachineShop, eVo and CMI6, helping to ensure these platforms remain secure, stable and automation-ready.

This position is 100% onsite in Texas and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
  • IAT Level II certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline and 10+ years of IT-related experience. (Five additional years of IT-related experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Proficiency in Linux, Red Hat Linux, and other Linux distributions such as Rocky Linux and Amazon Linux
  • Experience with Linux hardening and secure system configuration
  • Familiarity with secure platforms including C2E, MachineShop, eVo, CMI6
What will set you apart
  • Experience supporting STE/STN Linux hardened images
  • Automation experience in Linux deployment and configuration
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in secure environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a collaborative, high-security setting
