CALIBRE is an employee-owned, mission-focused solutions and digital transformation company, is seeking a Senior Energy Operations Project Manager.

The Project Manager will serve as the lead of the Opportunity Development and Project Execution teams, which are responsible for identifying the vetting new resilience project opportunities and then developing those opportunities into energy security/resiliency projects to meet the mission-specific requirements beginning with the Energy Security Assessment (ESA) reports and Installation Energy and Water Plans (IEWP), identifying specific energy security projects for third-party financing or alternative funding sources. Once a potentially viable project and funding source is available, the project moves to the acquisition process into actual projects for construction using third-party financing and/or direct investment.


  • Must have an active a Secret Clearance

  • Must have at least 10 years’ experience with development of multiple large scale energy projects

  • Must have a BS/BA

  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide leadership to collaborate and work with diverse team

  • Strong analytical skills to assess viability of potential renewable and alternative energy resilience project opportunities, as part of a team of engineers and finance professionals

  • Strong communication skills to clearly and succinctly provide recurring and ad-hoc project updates and synthesizing information for key decision briefs and procurement actions

  • Demonstrated excellent writing skills

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, project-centric environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


The candidate must have experience working cradle to grave, managing all aspects of the development of multiple largescale renewable and alternative energy resilience projects including project scoping, site selection, DoD acquisition process, project approval process, and third-party project financing process. Responsible for independently coordinating and completing project activities with internal and external stakeholders and overcoming obstacles, ensuring each project phase is completed on schedule.

Requires experience managing energy resilience projects through the acquisition process into actual projects for construction using third-party financing and/or direct investment. Specific support includes the following activities related to the Contracts and Agreements and Construction phases of the project:

  • Supports finalization of the energy project RFP and release of the solicitation

  • Supports energy project source selection and negotiations

  • Completes NEPA requirements

  • Supports award of contract / lease

  • Supports Developer’s finalization of design

  • Monitors construction progress

  • Reviews Cyber Plan

  • Monitors commissioning activities

Preferred Experience / Credentials

  • Preferred experience working with Air Force and DoD executive organizations
