A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for a talented, motivated, and hardworking candidate to study the immunogenicity and efficacy of TB vaccines in an animal model of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in the biomedical field with experience in immunology and molecular biology. Experimental methods related to the job include: hands-on experience with cell co-culture techniques, multi-parameter flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques, protein-based assays, scRNA-Seq, etc. This position is located at the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland. After the appropriate training, the ability to work in a biosafety level 3 laboratory facility is required. The candidate should be a team player, able to use his/her time efficiently and have effective skills in communication and scientific writing. Background with animal models of infectious diseases is preferred but not essential.
