Job Summary
The University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a qualified physician to join our General Internal Medicine team as an Assistant, Associate or Professor. This position will have split responsibilities – providing patient care in one of our General Internal Medicine clinics, as well as serving as an ambulatory Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency program.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Patient care will be provided in a General Internal Medicine clinic setting, where you will collaborate with other physicians, as well as learners, to care for a panel of patients. This position will participate in the supervision of residents and other learners. Additional responsibilities can include participation in community outreach programs and health education initiatives, as well as in our mission of educating healthcare professionals for the state of Kentucky.

Associate Program Director Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of the program’s ambulatory curriculum; assisting in leading efforts to recruit and retain residents; fostering a learning environment; and creating and disseminating scholarship in the area of graduate medical education.

Qualified applicants must be board eligible or board certified in internal medicine, capable of fulfilling the requirements of a primary care physician, and committed to upholding the values and standards of the University of Kentucky and the Department of Internal Medicine.
