Description Overview

Perrigo is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of risk profiles and product applications, along with hands-on experience in laboratory testing and inspection processes.

  • This position is responsible for ensuring that products or services meet the established quality standards of a company. This role involves testing, inspecting, and evaluating the quality of products or services to identify any defects or non-conformities, and making recommendations for improvement.

Scope of the Role

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of risk profiles, Perrigo product lines, and their consumer applications.
  • Perform inspections and tests using visual assessment and precision tools such as digital calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Quality Engineers to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Conduct laboratory tests, including chemical analyses, and interpret results accurately.
  • Document inspection outcomes and determine material disposition.
  • Maintain accurate records in Laboratory Notebooks and ERP systems.
  • Initiate, test, and store materials for stability studies.
  • Manage laboratory reagents, including organization, ordering, and restocking.
  • Communicate nonconforming materials to Management, Quality Engineers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Execute incoming product inspections and sampling, including:
  • Reviewing received quantities and determining sampling plans.
  • Selecting appropriate samples and comparing them to specifications.
  • Recording conforming and nonconforming results.
  • Complete incoming inspection documentation and process material movements in ERP systems.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Assist with internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to company guidelines and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree is a plus.
  • Laboratory experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Familiarity with quality control processes, including sampling plans and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using inspection and testing equipment such as calipers, micrometers, Keyence systems, and analytical balances.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Proven ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships to support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Capable of identifying both obvious and subtle product defects through inspection and observation.
  • Comfortable performing basic arithmetic calculations using a calculator.
