Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems related to training program tracking, calibration and certification compliance, and supporting inspection processes, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations and First Article Inspection (FAI) in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Tracking:
    • Maintain and update training records for quality and production personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with internal training requirements and external regulatory standards.
    • Assist in developing and deploying quality training content as needed.
  • Calibration and Certification Compliance:
    • Manage the calibration schedule for all quality-related inspection equipment.
    • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly certified and within calibration standards.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve calibration issues.
  • Inspection Support:
    • Perform and support CMM measurements during final inspection to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts.
    • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements.
    • Record, analyze, and report inspection results, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Continuous Improvement & Quality System Support:
    • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
    • Participate in internal audits and process improvement initiatives.
    • Contribute to maintaining ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance role.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM inspection or use of calipers, height gauges, micrometers and First Article Inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with calibration systems and certification tracking software/tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing training and compliance records.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with quality management software is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with semiconductor, or medical device industries.
  • Certification in quality disciplines (CQE, CQT, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
