Position Profile:

· Responsibility includes, but is not limited to, procurement of materials based on MRP output, quoting, and sourcing utilizing best practice.

· MRP and Quoting duties are rotational between other buyers and is subject to change depending on workload and bandwidth.

· Identify and develop new sources of supply where current supplier capabilities are inadequate using existing kSARIA Supply Chain policies.

· Develop, implement, and negotiate price and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs while supporting Production demand requirements.

· Responsible for day-to-day procurement activities including internal and supplier communications; negotiate schedule and delivery changes, request RMA and issue NCMRs, price changes, revised terms and special arrangements with suppliers.

· Review MRP requirements to ensure component deliveries are scheduled in line with production requirements; review and issuing purchase orders and make necessary changes to requirements, schedule and price.

· Maintain date integrity in VIS by managing delivery status with suppliers and updating system daily.

· Review suppliers push outs and communicate issues to planning.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skill requirements:

· 3-5 years of related experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

· Qualified candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively.

· Observe strong analytical skills.

· Intermediate skill level using Excel and Word software programs. Proficient in the use of Pivot tables and V Look ups; ability to use Enterprise-wide (ERP and MRP) systems (Exp w/ Visibility helpful)

· Experience dealing with Copper and Fiber Cable assemblies.

· Must be US Citizen

· Selected applicant may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information

· Strong supplier & project management experience
