Description
The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Field Service Technician to work at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) facility located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the DEVCOM CBC mission. In this mission we support DEVCOM CBC in basic and applied research, development, testing, and evaluation efforts to support the U.S. Warfighter and ensure our Warfighters maintain battlefield dominance during a chemical and/or biological weapon event.
Primary Responsibilities.
Responsibilities include toxic chemical monitoring, equipment setup, systemization, operation and maintenance of chemical and biological filtration systems to include High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) and High Efficiency Gas Adsorber (HEGA) systems. Works independently or with Principal Investigators to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deadlines. Authors test plans, test reports and standing operating procedures (SOPs) and develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solutions. Develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. Communicate with internal and client project team members.
Basic Qualifications.
BS degree in technical field with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree with 2-6 years relevant experience. In lieu of degree, 10 or more years prior relevant experience is required; Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance; Candidate must have demonstrated experience and be well versed in safe usage of filter leak test equipment and chemical monitoring equipment. Preferred Qualifications. Prior experience working with MINICAMS®, Depot Area Air Monitoring System (DAAMS), and gas chromatography systems. Experience supporting a U.S. Army test and evaluation organization.
