Overview:

The Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner (CS25-271) at SIUE is a high-level Human Resources professional who acts as a talent strategy advisor and trusted partner to hiring leaders, ensuring the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent. They will play a crucial role in aligning talent acquisition strategies with business goals and objectives and will be responsible for the preparation, facilitation, and completion of SUCSS/Civil Service Audits for Talent Acquisition in collaboration with the Manager - Talent Acquisition.

What You Will Do:

In strong partnership with the Manager - Talent Acquisition the Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Talent Acquisition Planning & Consulting

Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to hiring managers to develop and execute recruiting strategies that ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
  • Talent Acquisition Life-cycle Coordination

Responsible for the full recruitment life cycle from sourcing to on boarding that align talent acquisition strategies with university goals and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Training, Advising, & Compliance Adherence

Assist in training and advising Talent Acquisition Human Resources Representatives on best practices, processes, systems, tools, and technologies.

Keep current on laws related to recruiting including federal and state, university policies, guidelines, and the State Universities Civil Service System Statutes.

Serve as a liaison to disseminate HR related information to candidates, hiring managers, and university employees covering topics such as best practices recruitment, benefits, payroll, compliance, and labor laws.
  • Data Analysis, Interpretation, and Reporting

Utilize recruitment data and analytics to generate actionable insights and reports, track key performance indicators and trends, and identify areas for improvement in the talent acquisition process.
  • Technology Implementation & Enhancements

Partner with Manager - Talent Acquisition, HRIS, and external vendors to implement, manage, and explore new systems and tools that support the overall talent acquisition life-cycle.
  • Project Management

Partner with and/or lead projects and task-forces assigned by Manager - Talent Acquisition that support talent acquisition, HR, and/or university initiatives.
  • SUCSS/Civil Service Audits
    Partner with the Manager - Talent Acquisition to gather data and facilitate the process for the SUCSS/Civil Service Audits for Talent Acquisition.


Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration, speech communications or a field closely related to the position

-3+ years of full life-cycle talent acquisition experience in all stages of the talent acquisition process from sourcing to on-boarding with a solid understanding of current recruitment best practices, tools, and technologies including experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing techniques, assessment methods, and legal compliance

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

-Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with HR peers, hiring managers, and all areas across an organization to understand talent acquisition needs and initiatives, advise on best practices and solutions, and solve current challenges

-Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to extract talent acquisition metrics from ATS and other related systems that reveal insights and allow for data driven decision making

-Strong research, investigative, critical thinking, attention to detail, influencing, and communication skills to effectively interact with HR Peers, hiring teams, candidates, and leadership

-Strong project management skills and ability to lead and/or partner with others on talent acquisition projects, task-forces, and initiatives

-Experience and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to create pivot tables, charts, analyze reports, and create presentations
-Experience in a fast paced, high volume, and large scale talent acquisition environment is preferred
