As part of the Kito Crosby team, you will be supporting channel partners and end users around the world using Kito Crosby products in mission critical applications ranging from development of renewable power, space exploration, national defense, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

In accordance with established policies, controls, accepted practices and purchasing techniques, acts as an agent of the Company to procure, without prejudice: miscellaneous raw materials, manufactured items, labor from machine shops, fabrications and maintenance, repair, and operating supplies (MRO’s) under the direction of the Materials Manager. Works with technical personnel to obtain the maximum value for each dollar of expenditure, consistent with standards of quality and manufacturing schedules.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential)

  1. Translate purchasing policy into realistic achievable and actionable objectives.
  2. Manage costs, including Development and utilization of price change forecasting, cost reduction and cost containment plans and maintenance of auditable cost saving calculations.
  3. Investigate reliability and develop relationships with vendors that support purchasing objectives.
  4. Arrange, with Engineering, for demonstrations of materials, processes, equipment, and supplies.
  5. Work with Materials Manager, Maintenance, General Manager, Direct Buyer, to obtain and compare bids for current and prospective vendors.
  6. Process adjustments, cancellations and claims bearing on original purchase agreements.
  7. Generate SAP debit memos to remove item from inventory or rejected supplies/tooling to be returned to vendor.
  8. Set up and participate in vendor audits, as required.
  9. Purchase orders over $1,000 must be approved and signed by the General Manager and Accounting Manager.
  10. Process purchase orders for miscellaneous raw materials and manufactured items, labor from machine shop, fabrications, maintenance, repair, and operating supplies
  11. Expedite purchases from Vendors.
  12. Work directly with Maintenance on supplies they need for PM’s or repairs of equipment. Finding best sources for product.
  13. Provide regular reporting of supplier performance.
  14. Develop and nurture relationships with internal managers and customers.
  15. Work with production coordinator on schedule and making sure we have the tooling that’s needed for the month.
  16. Demonstrate a willingness to work multi-functionally.
  17. Work within limits of forecasted expenses per month.

Manufacturing experience preferred

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
