Position: Research Scholar - ISS
Description:
Innovations for Successful Societies (ISS), a program within the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, invites outstanding researchers to apply for a Research Scholar appointment. The position will begin on or around September 1, 2025, and is a 60% duty time, 12-month appointment for a one-year term, with the potential for renewal pending department need and available funding.ISS helps public sector leaders building more effective, more accountable government learn from each other. It produces open-access, interview-based management cases as part of that mission. It currently seeks a Research Scholar to play a major role in its work on Ukraine and reconstruction governance. The person selected for this position must have a background in law and corruption prevention, possess native fluency in Ukrainian language and fluent English, and have excellent research and writing skills. The ISS Research Scholar will work on our Reconstruction Governance series specifically:1) manage quarterly updates of the Ukraine anti-corruption law database in collaboration with co-creators;2) develop teaching notes to accompany simulations developed for course use; 3) conduct interviews and archival research;4) develop drafts of interview-based management cases and policy briefs on questions important for our reconstruction work; and5) present research at conferences. Expected Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
