Job Title: Crew Member, Utility CDL
Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to haul equipment and materials between job sites and facilities. When not on the road, this role will support warehouse operations, including equipment loading/unloading, inventory handling, and general facility upkeep. This is a hands-on, dual-role position ideal for a team player who values variety and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving & Equipment Hauling (Class A CDL):
    • Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport heavy equipment, tools, and materials to/from worksites or other locations.
    • Secure loads according to DOT safety standards.
    • Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after trips; report any issues for timely maintenance.
    • Comply with all DOT, federal, state, and local driving regulations.
  • Equipment Operation & Support:
    • Load and unload heavy machinery using cranes, winches, or forklifts.
    • Operate equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and other machinery as needed (certification preferred).
    • Assist in staging and prepping equipment for delivery or use on job sites.
  • Warehouse & Yard Duties:
    • Receive, organize, and stock incoming materials and supplies.
    • Pull orders, stage materials, and prepare shipments accurately and efficiently.
    • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, equipment, and safety standards.
    • Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory control processes.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Experience hauling construction or industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Forklift, crane operator and/or equipment operator certification strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse systems, inventory processes, and equipment handling.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and team collaboration.
Work Environment:
  • Split time between vehicle operation, outdoor work, and warehouse environment.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and job site environments.
  • Safety gear/PPE required for tasks.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving (up to 8–10 hours/day).
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy items and equipment (up to 75 lbs), with or without assistance.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing (onto trucks, trailers, or equipment), and reaching overhead.
  • Dexterity and coordination to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery in outdoor and indoor environments.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dusty environments.
  • Must have clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing sufficient to operate vehicles and machinery safely.
  • Use of hands and arms for handling tools, securing loads, and performing basic maintenance tasks.
Mental Requirements:
  • Strong situational awareness to recognize hazards and maintain safety on job sites, in traffic, and in yard/warehouse environments.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, safety protocols, and delivery/pickup schedules accurately.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail to safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing schedules, weather, job site conditions, and priorities throughout the day.
  • Basic problem-solving skills to handle logistical challenges, equipment issues, or route changes.
  • Time management skills to meet delivery deadlines while complying with DOT regulations on hours of service.
  • Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills for coordinating with warehouse staff, field crews, and supervisors.
Pay Range: $28.50 / hour
