As part of the Kito Crosby team, you will be supporting channel partners and end users around the world using Kito Crosby products in mission critical applications ranging from development of renewable power, space exploration, national defense, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

The Set-up Tech is responsible for setting up and changing over all CNC machines as required to meet production goals and will be required to operate a CNC machine when not performing set-ups or changeovers. Understands blueprints and written specifications. Skillfully uses all machinist’s hand tools and measuring instruments. Possesses knowledge of shop mathematics. Familiar with the various metals, speeds, and feeds to be used in machining. Capable of shaping metal bars, forgings, and castings to precise dimensions and finishes. Has a minimum of rejected parts with maximum productivity. Must be able to operate one or more machines as required to meet production and quality standards with maximum productivity.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential)

  1. Be able to set-up/changeover all machines as required for machine operators*
  2. Read and understand blueprints and written specifications.*
  3. Possess knowledge and ability to use shop mathematics.*
  4. Skillfully use all machinist’s hand tools and measuring instruments.*
  5. Be capable of shaping metal bars, forgings, and castings to precise dimensions and finishes.*
  6. Be familiar with the various metals, speed, and feeds to be used in machining.*
  7. Be familiar with how to set-up, change over, and operate all machines to meet production and quality standards with maximum productivity.*
  8. Be able to lift 5 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.*
  9. Be able to reach, bend over, or twist to insure a part is secure in the machine, to measure and/or inspect work to print, to change tools, to set up machinery, and to load/unload the part from the machine.*
  10. Be able to stand 40 to 60% of the time in order to reach parts to load, unload, and inspect parts; to print; and to visually observe machine functions.*
  11. Be able to walk around the plant to change machines, get blueprints, retrieve parts, etc.*
  12. Be able to see, read, and write in order to comprehend safety warnings and do necessary paperwork.*
  13. Be able to communicate with supervisors, dispatchers, inspectors, etc.*
  14. Be able to learn and have a long-term memory for machine controls, machine functions, crane controls and functions, using measuring instruments, reading blueprints/symbols, etc.*
  15. Punctuality and regular attendance are important to maintain manufacturing schedules.*
  16. Train machine operators on change overs/set-ups
  17. Be responsible for signing off first articles after change overs/set-ups
  18. Be able to work a flex schedule out side of normal 1st shift and 2nd shift hours: 6am – 2:30 pm, and 2pm – 10:30pm

Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.)

1 – 2 years Manufacturing experience preferred

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
