Summary
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial plant by performing the following duties. Studies, records, develops and implements methods involved in the performance of production and other worker operations to improve efficiency by performing the following duties. This position will report directly to the ICS Operations Manager (Operations Manager in CV)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between manufacturing and engineering departments.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to develop manufacturing processes for product components and systems, ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and cost effectiveness.
- Compile and analyze operational data to establish performance standards.
- Analyze Change Engineering Release Notices, determine any part or process change, initiate and implement required changes.
- Create training materials and process documentation.
- Revise procedures by analyzing operating practices and implementing changes, as required.
- Provide engineering support on planning development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
- Troubleshoot, analyze and document discrepancies in the manufacturing process that conflict with drawings, specifications, BOM discrepancies and etc. Make necessary changes to correct these discrepancies utilizing the Change ERN process.
- Trains others on all major tasks and considerations for the full manufacturing process.
- Provides technical assistance to all manufacturing departments regarding the quality and/or performance of machinery, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
- Create efficiencies in Machining/Production Centers.
- Participate in capital equipment justification, purchase and implementation.
- Coordinate start-up and commissioning of new equipment with operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Souderton, PA Specific)
- Manage the processing and execution of the Engineering Release Notices (ERNs) in the ERP system and establish process specifications pertaining to manufacturing processes and material specifications.
- Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist in operational decision making.
- Plan the technical manufacturing process in the areas of parts manufacturing, quality control, assembly, final quality inspection, packaging.
- Develop and work with Production Control in establishing min/max manufacturing order quantities into the ERP system, to maximize machine productivity and amortize setup/changeover costs.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to create and optimize CNC programs for machining and fabrication equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Cherry Valley, IL Specific)
- Work with the electrical engineering team as needed to facilitate alignment/clarification of mechanical and electrical design phases during assembly.
- Support the Pecatonica, IL facility as needed to increase & improve capability and capacity.

- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities, timely follow up on multiple projects and multiple open issues simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Ability to utilize CAD/CAM/3D Modeling software.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering or a technical field preferred.
- Two (2) years direct Manufacturing Engineering experience and/or training.
