POSITION SUMMARY

The Real Estate Loan Processor assembles, prepares and reviews critical closing documents for all real estate mortgage loans. Coordinates the closing process to ensure all documents are correct and all terms of the loan are met while diligently working with both the lender and bank customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Prepare consumer, commercial, and TRID loan documents in compliance with regulation, bank policies, and bank procedures.

Documentation preparation on TRID Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures to meet TRID compliance guidelines.

Requests hazard insurance policies, flood policies, and orders abstracting and title work.

Assists lending staff with daily responsibilities, including document collection, closing, and telephone/personal interaction with customers and third-party vendors to accommodate banking needs.

Performs file audit for compliance, accuracy, and tolerances.

Communicates with realtors, builders, title companies, borrowers, and the loan officer diligently on all loan files.

Assists with post-closing cures and document collection.

Process non-real estate consumer and commercial loans when required.

Clear loan exceptions.

Maintain open communication, as to the status of the loan, with members of the loan department, vendors, and/or any other required parties to the loan transaction.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2-years of consumer and/or commercial real estate loan experience is preferred.

Working knowledge of Laser Pro and Decision Pro is preferred.

Working knowledge of consumer and commercial real estate compliance regulations.

Solid understanding of loan closing documents, to include the Note, Mortgage, Loan Estimate and the Loan Closing Disclosure.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software application.

Strong customer service skills.

Ability to perform in a highly sensitive environment and deal with confidential matters.

Work well individually and with a team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks.

Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work various/additional hours as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant use of computer screens and reading of reports.

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile.

Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear.

Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials.

Regularly lift and/or move and carry up to 10 pounds.
