Principal Intelligence Analyst - Military veterans preferred

Leidos Maritime System Solutions (MSS) is seeking a Principal Intelligence Analyst to join a growing, fast-paced engineering research, development, testing and evaluation team at Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific. The selected candidate will be part of a world-class team responsible for acoustic algorithm development and validation. This individual will work closely with the government-industry analysis team as a subject matter expert. Work may involve supporting multiple projects, advising analysts, and writing detailed technical reports. This position will require the candidate to hold a Top-Secret Clearance. This position is part-time and requires the candidate to be on-site at Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific in San Diego, CA for approximately 1 week per month.

Primary Responsibilities

• Acoustic algorithm development and validation
• Advise analysts on underwater acoustic signal types
• Perform highly technical analysis of acoustic data
• Advise team members on screening methods
• Write detailed technical reports
• Advise on software design and definition
• Provide expertise to multiple projects within the MSS portfolio
• Work closely with the government-industry analysis team as a subject matter expert
• Work on-site at Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific in San Diego, CA approximately 1 week per month

Basic Qualifications

• Subject matter expert in the area of acoustic intelligence
• 30+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to work in small, collaborative teams comprised of both contractor and government scientists
• Prepared to show initiative and lead when needed
• Must be well-organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work on several projects concurrently
• Ability to accomplish tasks independently with minimal oversight
• BS in Data Analytics or related field or 30+ years of relevant experience
• US Citizenship
• Currently holds a Top-Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• IUSS Master Analyst
