Position summary:

The candidate will be a critical addition to our Integrated Development Network product team directly responsible for the operation and integration of several cloud-based applications. Together these applications serve as a common suite of tools and services which are central to our engineering, delivery and product management efforts. The successful candidate will have knowledge of web application operations, leadership qualities, and be comfortable with an array of automation, integration and development technologies, build environments and engineering best practices.   

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the reliable and accurate performance of systems and interconnecting automation in support of Comtech Terrestrial and Wireless SDLC.
  • Lead and contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery solving complex operations, integration and support challenges for our internal tools
  • Extend and modernize existing automation processes to support additional processes, application integrations and best practices while transitioning to AI technologies for monitoring and implementation.
  • Lead efforts to identify opportunities for AI independence in monitoring, event management and ticket resolution.
  • Design and build tooling, infrastructure, documentation and training to drive adoption of best practices and ISO policies in SDLC.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience programming in Java.
  • Deep knowledge of SCM concepts and branching strategies
  • Experience training in AI models
  • Experience with Agentic AI deployments a plus
  • Experience working with Rest APIs
  • Experience with Atlassian Rest APIs a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Jira
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Git
  • Experience with Gitlab Pipelines a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience writing Shell Scripts
  • Experience with Perl a plus
  • Experience programming in Java a plus
  • Experience with Forge a plus.
  • Experience with Atlassian SDKs a plus.
  • Experience working in Bamboo a plus.
  • Familiarity with Artifactory and Perforce a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux administration and networking a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Lambda a plus.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively handle projects.
  • Must be able to work on individual projects as well as in collaborative efforts.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to learn fast in a fast-paced environment. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years in operations or information management
