Responsibilities

As a Geomatics Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables.  You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by:

  • Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
  • Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
  • Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
  • Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or similar field
  • 0-1 years as a GIS Technician
  • Basic knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and/or ArcGIS Online

  • Understanding of Integrated GPS and GIS principals
  • Interest in learning CAD
  • Ability to work as part of a team
