Carilion Clinic
Provide therapeutic services to oncology patients and families at all levels of care within the scope of the therapist's license. Direct responsibility for program development and coordination of cancer counseling and education services within the oncology service.
Education: Master's Degree in Social Work (from a school of social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education)
Experience: Must have met continuing education requirements from VA Board of Professional Health Regulatory Boards plus a minimum of two years post licensure experience required. Oncology specialization, experience, background, and interest working in a hospital environment preferred. Experience with program development, leadership, self-direction, and excellent communication skills preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: LCSW, OSW-C preferred, or must be obtained within 3 years.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, other health care providers, and management entities.
