Overview
Clinical/Operations Management:
Primarly manages operations of ambulatory services in a cost-effective manner, directing day-to-day operations (24/7), delegating responsibility and authority for providing services, problem- solving issues identified by staff and internal/external stakeholders, and coordinate services in assigned areas with interdisciplinary teams. This includes on-call responsibilities.
Departmental Interdiscliplinary Coordination:
Facilitates patient care services by collaborating with all pharmacy department staff, other healthcare team members and hospital departments, as well as external agencies to ensure continuity of care.
Program Design & Development:
Develops and/or redesigns facilities, systems and policies/procedures to support service improvement or expansion. Identifies opportunities for value analysis.
Quality and Safety:
Develop and monitors dashboards and quality metrics related to pharmacy department and service area(s) goals. Participates in the development and implementation of the Department of Pharmacy's strategic plan in alignment with the OHSU Health's mission, vision, and values. Practices Performance Excellence (OPEX) for daily management and continuous improvement.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Manages, develops, implements, and maintains necessary policies and procedures, process improvements, training, and monitoring activities to ensure operations are compliant with appropriate laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Supervision of Staff:
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and supervises assigned staff. Develops performance standards, conducts performance appraisal (PE); and recommends salary increases consistent with hospital policy and procedure.
Responsibilities
Licensed Pharmacist in Oregon
Pharmacy, BS or PharmD
PGY2 residency, PGY1 with 2 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant experience

Professional Communication, written and verbal
Supervision of personnel
Contemporary Practice of Pharmacy
Qualifications
Advanced Degree, work history of involvement in leadership projects
Board Certification
