Job Summary
The Design Centralized Business Office is searching for a STEPS Payroll Administrator.
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Primary payroll administrator for all College personnel.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all processes related to bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles.
- Communicates with personnel and supervisors regarding accurate entry and approval of time entries for all hourly employees and accurate TDL, Vacation, and Holiday request and approval for all monthly employees. Works closely with the Business Officer to monitor and complete actions in CDEM and payroll expense confirmation.
o Completes payroll corrections in a timely fashion, informing affected parties and obtaining appropriate approvals. Provides regular updates of error resolution.
o Processes internal hiring requests for students and staff.
- Aids with the creation of staff and student position descriptions.
- Manages position postings in IES, ensuring posting accuracy and timely applicant administration and posting disposition.
- Facilitates external advertising for all positions, as requested.
- Coordinates onboarding process for all College personnel new hires, facilitating the I-9 approval process and all other new hire paperwork.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
o Associates Degree required
o Undergraduate Degree in a business discipline preferred
o Previous payroll experience desired
o Experience with SAP is a plus
