Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled Die Setup Operator to join our team. This role requires expertise in setting up and maintaining dies for precision manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance of dies, and engaging effectively with the Tool and Die and Engineering departments to resolve complex challenges.

What will you be doing?

  • Setup and Adjust Dies: Install, align, and adjust dies for high-precision manufacturing.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Quickly diagnose and resolve die-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure die setups meet strict quality standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Engage in detailed discussions with Tool & Die makers and Engineering teams to optimize processes.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance to extend die life and maintain production efficiency.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Document process details, report abnormalities, and collaborate with engineers for continuous improvement.

Who are You?

  • Experience: Two years in die setup within a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of tooling, die setup, and machining processes.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues with dies and related equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and production teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in setup and operation.
  • Problem-Solving: Critical thinking skills to tackle complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required. Able to work extra hours and weekends if required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written instructions in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

What competencies will you need?

  • High School diploma or equivalent & 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Quality focused with strong attention to detail. Able to read and interpret work process procedures. Strong computer knowledge.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to lead a team.
  • Must have a quality mindset with strong attention to detail and respect for a safe work environment.

Pay range for the role is $22hr - $37hr DOE and Education.
