POSITION SUMMARY

Under direction of the supervisor, laborers will typically work on a road crew but may work at an asphalt plant or maintenance shop. A laborer’s job function will include, but not be limited to: job layout, shoveling, raking, sweeping, operating small equipment such as blowers, saws, compactors, and jack hammers. On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of one of our crews, with the potential for advancement opportunities.

This position may also include some of the following additional duties:

• landscaping
• parts running
• painting
• organizing, trash pick-up and general housekeeping
• all other duties as assigned

This is a seasonal part time position.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Physically fit to perform the job functions which include standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods of time
• Reliable transportation. Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
