ABOUT THE ROLE

The Office Services Clerk ensures a high standard of catering support for Firm and client needs. Assists in the upkeep and cleanliness of breakroom, catering kitchen, conference rooms, reception area and all Morrison Foerster common areas. Manages all aspects of catering for all meetings and events. Secondary responsibilities include reception desk coverage as needed, Office Services department support, vendor access assistance, managing all incoming facilities/service requests, and various operations duties as needed.

  • Consistently promote and model the Firm's Client Service Principles in teamwork, work product, and personal interaction.
  • Manage all incoming catering orders and requests.
  • Ensure all catering requests are delivered to conference rooms and setup with beverages.
  • Setup and prepare conference rooms for meetings and clean up conference rooms and remove leftovers after meetings.
  • Prepare coffee in the mornings for all breakrooms and conference rooms as needed.
  • Stock refrigerator and snack area in breakroom in the early am with all relevant supplies (milk, creamers, snacks, etc.).
  • Stock all break and conference rooms with utensils, cups, mugs, etc. as need
  • Runs dishwashers daily on both breakroom and catering kitchen rooms.
  • Manage all inventory of catering items (coffee, soda, tea, milk, snacks, etc.).
  • Works closely with Facilities Assistant on stock/inventory/ordering.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Serves as backup to receptionist (covers daily breaks and when needed).
  • Monitors Office Services inbox for support services and manages requests or relays support needs.
  • Assists in office relocations as needed.
  • Provides early access to vendors who require access.
  • Submits service requests to property management.
  • Works closely with Office Services Manager on projects as assigned.
  • Ensure expertise in technology relevant to the position; proactively use most current technology to further teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
  • Safeguard and keep confidential any information, observations, or viewpoints regarding Firm and client business matters.

ABOUT YOU

  • High School Diploma plus two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with a variety of office equipment including but not limited to postal machine and shipping computers.
  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a strong client service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize work and work effectively under pressure.
  • Availability to work overtime; flexibility regarding work schedule.
  • Reliability, dependability, and strong motivation to respond to requests quickly.
  • Typing speed of 35 wpm with high level of accuracy.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

San Diego salary range: $47k to $66k
