Job Description

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the Management and Operations of the warehousing and chemical production of their respective site. The Operations Supervisor role encompasses leading, developing, and coaching personnel. In this role, you will ensure your team and site maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES

  • Oversee all warehouse and production functions of job site including safety best practices, shipping, receiving, packaging, inventory management, quality, and collaboration with other CCS departments.
  • Ensure all employees are trained and qualified in all aspects of their duties.
  • Perform as liaison, engage synergies, and drive for collective results between warehouse, production, dispatch, purchasing, safety, and sales departments.
  • Support the development and execution of budgeting for terminal site.
  • Actively contribute to positively influencing team engagement, culture, and morale by fostering a safe, inclusive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Constantly have team and site prepared for all government and private sector audits.
  • Monitor and analyze data, metrics, and results to gauge team productivity and efficiency of current processes.
  • Contribute to building the teams’ succession plan by training and developing future leaders from within.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and performance issues, and complete corrective actions.
  • Plan and execute facility tours and customer relations activities.
  • Develop, document, and improve operational policies and processes.
  • Conduct new hire interviews and assessments.
  • Answer any customer inquiries about product quality or processes.
  • Review employee time and performance, conduct performance reviews, execute performance improvement plans and corrective actions as needed, and lead regular meetings to set expectations and communicate effectively with the team.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • HAZWHOPER 40-hour training is strongly preferred.
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in warehousing or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1 year minimum supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations is required.
