Simulation Software Engineer - Military veterans preferred

Position Title: Simulation Software Engineer
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid – at least 50% onsite at Lockheed Martin's Quebec facility, 2 days/week)
Relocation Assistance: None available at this time
Remote/Telework: Hybrid – Partial remote allowed; must support in-office requirements
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Period of Performance: July 2025 – September 2026

Position Summary:

Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Simulation Software Engineer to support the GeoXO program at Lockheed Martin's Denver, Colorado Quebec facility. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days per week onsite and focuses on simulation software development for spacecraft validation and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will:

• Develop and maintain simulation software to test and validate spacecraft systems.
• Design and implement software models that replicate spacecraft systems and behaviors.
• Execute simulation runs and analyze results to verify system performance against program requirements.
• Collaborate with Lockheed Martin technical teams to ensure smooth integration of simulation software.
• Assist in debugging, optimizing, and enhancing simulation toolsets.
• Contribute to design reviews and provide regular project updates.
• Continuously improve simulation processes and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 3+ years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Python (3.10) and C++ (20)
• Linux development experience
• Experience with device communication protocols and interpreting hardware specs
• Skilled in debugging, unit testing, and integration testing
• Experience with simulation environments and simulation-based verification
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and collaboration skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with threading and concurrency
• Familiarity with real-time or mission-critical systems
• Simulink, GNC, or Simics experience
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jira, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Background in spacecraft systems or aerospace engineering
• Experience working on government contracts
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

Compensation:
Salary Range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
