Job Overview

This position will support all functions of the Henderson operation and requires the engineer to be disciplined, driven, well organized with good time management skills.  Will work with a CAD & ERP system, many forms of documentation including those from engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and warehouse.  Provides technical expertise and responsible for process development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes.   Ability to properly lift objects up to 40 pounds. 

Job Requirements

• Able to read an interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Establish, select, implement and maintain, effective and efficient manufacturing processes, controls and procedures
• Good analytical skills where you will analyze data, identify problems and propose solutions
• Good problem-solving skills, must be able to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify and implement solutions
• Provides technical guidance while being a liaison to production operations.  
• Collaboratively designs and implements efficient floor layouts utilizing lean principles
• Create and modify highly detailed work instructions using pictures along with other visual aids with clear written expression
• Communicate with Taiwan suppliers via email and phone calls on new project requirements and discrepancy root cause and resolution
• Possess good written, verbal and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively, follows oral and written instructions
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and quality control
• Process improvement, analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend changes to improve efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness
• Basic electrical skills including but not limited to prepping and terminating wires, troubleshooting & repairing cable assemblies and using a voltmeter to check continuity and voltage
• Good communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels within the company
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner
• Occasionally will lift and or move up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or reach with hands and arms

Preferred Experience

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment where mechanical parts are assembled and tested.
• Familiarity of CNC machine tool mills and or lathes.
