The Parking Garage Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of Facility/Garage supportive functions which include, but are not limited to: customer service, cashiering, maintain a clean work area, and performing basic maintenance on garage equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct motorist to parking areas or spaces, using hand signals, or flashlights as necessary.
  • Stock and maintain all equipment. Control traffic entrances and exits as needed.
  • Assists customers with directions in and around campus in a friendly and polite manner.
  • Report any known accidents, safety hazards, maintenance repair, or any suspicious activities to supervisor or appropriate department.
  • Assist customers in the use of automated revenue control equipment including ticket dispensers, pay stations, and exit station equipment.
  • Patrol transient and reserved parking areas on foot or in customized vehicle. Issue citations to vehicles that are in violation of the University Parking Policy.
  • Collect, deposit, and maintain security protocols of cash and any other financial documents.
  • Assists management in the daily operation and maintenance of the parking facility.
  • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ general work experience
  • Ability to speak and write clearly.
  • Ability to learn and use computer programs.

Preferred Qualifications:Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Must be available on weekends and evenings
  • Walk & stand for extended period of time
  • Able to work in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
