The Position:

Location: This is a onsite position based in our South San Francisco location. 

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. 

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clinical Materials Handler. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in inventory management, supply chain and the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect and process incoming clinical materials, ensuring accuracy, quantity and quality. Ensure items received meet order specifications per purchase order, packing slip or bill of lading.
  • Properly store and manage clinical supplies and materials based on their requirements.
  • Prepare, maintain, and control key supporting documents pertaining to receipt and issue of clinical materials in manual and automated systems.
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to direct and track materials for receiving, storage, and distribution. Rotate and issue stock based on first in first out (FIFO) criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels Analyze and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient material delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation, packaging and shipping of clinical materials.
  • Understand and follow safety/quality control procedures, this position is responsible for handling potentially hazardous materials or equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to clinical materials handling and storage, including Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Compute space for storage requirements, maintain the locator deck and keep an organized warehouse, receiving area and office space.
  • Assist in periodic inventory audits based on prescribed schedule.
  • Schedule hazardous waste pick-ups and sign shipping manifests.
  • Support with manual defrost freezer procedures and record keeping.
  • Perform all other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor.

Who You Are:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant coursework or certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills, knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, and proficiency in using inventory management/ERP software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
