The Automotive Body & Paint Technician Senior will perform auto body and paint support for programs.
The Automotive Body & Paint Technician Senior will mentor and oversee team member’s technical
deliverables to ensure Roush and customer standards are met. This position is located in Livonia, MI.

As an Automotive Body & Paint Technician Senior, you will:

  • Surface and paint prototype components and vehicles
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and is available as a
  • subject matter expert to assist the team and customers
  • Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting
  • breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
  • Lead daily shop organization and clean-up

To be considered as an Automotive Body & Paint Technician Senior, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the auto body field
  • Experience with gap and margin with automotive panels and surfacing panels
  • Ability to operate shop equipment
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Certificate in Automotive Body Repair or related
  • Show car painting experience
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
