Key Responsibilities
Leads and participates in a variety of land survey operations such as boundary, topography, leveling, design, as built, and maintaining horizontal and vertical control networks using a full range of survey equipment.
Prepares and verifies mathematical calculations related to surveying and basic engineering; computes and adjust angles, distances, bearings traverses and elevations; interprets and computes field data; evaluates for accuracy and completeness; maintains accurate survey and non-survey related records in the form of field notes, reports, and sketches; maintains vertical and horizontal control notes in files, field book and computer.
Secures equipment, uses safety techniques, handles the equipment, records data and performs other associated duties for the purpose of delivering a successful project.
Qualifications
Understand and use mathematical principles.
Knowledge of surveying software, both automated and non-automated
Ability to read graphic instruction.
Experience in general carpentry is a plus.
Knowledge of safe work methods
Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
Skills in Trimble Total Station and Non-Robotic Total Station
Skilled in as-built verification backcheck from field to model/model to field
Skilled in construction staking.
Skilled in Layout-Building/grid layout, various building systems layout, equipment/anchorage layout, foundation and bolt templates layout and verification, verification of structural systems
Self-Motivated, with ability to work well with others.
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to use iPad comfortably, read and interpret construction drawings elevations
Ability to identify potential issues and elevate them to Lead Man and VDC Engineer
Have willingness to learn and take direction from others.
Proven commitment to safety and building relationships with the team.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Requirements:
4+ years commercial construction field layout experience
Pay:
$35.75 - $38.00+ DOE
