Responsibilities

This position works as a key team member to support Central Sterile by securing implants and related instrumentation needed for surgical procedures, tracking, repair and replacement of the required implants and related instruments. Will also facilitate the instrument and equipment intra-facility loan/borrow process.



Qualifications

Education:

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. One to two years’ college education in business or health-related field, or related experience in distribution or inventory of medical supplies and equipment preferred.

 

Experience:

Two years' experience with any combination of Surgical Scrub Tech, Central Sterile Tech, and/or procurement of supplies, services and equipment preferably in a hospital setting required. Prior experience with surgical instrumentation strongly preferred.

 

Skills:

Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions, medical terminology and knowledge of medical supplies and equipment required.  Requires familiarity with purchasing and inventory control standards and practices, ability to effectively speak, read and write English.  Must demonstrate attention to detail.
