OUTREACH COORDINATOR/CLINICIAN

LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ Campus
Position Profile:
This position will engage in community outreach and networking support for Fuller Arizona Mental Health Services (FAMHS) and provide therapy to a diverse array of clients (i.e., children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families). The successful candidate will see up to 15 clients per week.
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and reports to the FAMHS Clinic Director. The position will also support the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program located in Phoenix, AZ.
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
- In collaboration with Clinic Director, Program Chair, and Dean, develop and implement a strategic plan for engaging community partners for the purposes of building a sustainable client referral network, improving Fuller Arizona brand awareness, and strengthening community partner awareness of the Phoenix MFT program.
- Provide up to 15 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy to clients (i.e., children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families) each week.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the Clinic Director and Arizona MFT program chair, as well as the SoPMFT Dean, the Outreach Coordinator will:
Strategic Planning & Community Engagement
- Develop a strategic plan for engaging partners that includes monthly and annual goals.
- Identify existing gaps and brainstorm opportunities with Clinic Director and MFT Program Chair.
- Network with local clinic leaders to increase Fuller’s awareness of community professional services.
- Nurture current community relationships and partnerships to build client referrals and student recruits.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners over time.
- Maintain and update database of community contacts.
Outreach & Promotion
- Prepare and deliver formal and informal presentations for potential community partners.
- Plan and execute outreach events in coordination with MFT program staff.
- Attend community events and distribute marketing materials to increase awareness of the clinic and MFT program.
- Work with CMB to develop brochures and promotional materials for outreach activities and events.
- Write and share summaries of events and meetings with various community partners and stakeholders.
Digital Communications
- Develop and implement a social media and email (MailChimp) communication strategy.
Training & Partnership Development
- Maintain and grow a list of local clinical and spiritual leaders willing to provide training (lunch & learns) for students and staff.
- Create partnership agreements with the Clinic Director.
Clinical Services & Compliance
- Provide up to 15 hours of therapy services to clients weekly.
- Document client interactions consistent with applicable Arizona BBHE and FAMHS requirements, utilizing FAMHS Electronic Health Records systems.
- Comply with all clinic policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards of the profession.
- Participate in regular individual supervision from a licensed MFT supervisor provided by FAMHS, consistent with AZBBHE and FAMHS requirements (if required).
Team Oversight
- Supervise the work-study Outreach Assistant.
Requirements:
- Licensed, in good standing with the AZBBHE
- Self-starter; able to work with minimal direction; manage time effectively
- Able to work cooperatively within the seminary community
- Be organized, detail oriented, and good at follow-through
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Feel comfortable making outreach contacts
- Sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, gender, and denominational differences.
- Able to support the Fuller Statement of Faith and abide by the community standards
Preferences:
- Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
- Possess fingerprint clearance card
- Bilingual fluency preferred (Spanish)
- 1 - 3 years of clinical experience
- Proficiency working with various computer applications, including EHR, Google Suite and Microsoft Office suite.
- Have current CPR & first aid training.
- Ability to work at least one evening per week (5PM-8PM).

- This is an in-person position and is required to work out of the Arizona Mental Health Clinic in Phoenix, AZ.
Pay Scale:
- Salary the seminary expects to pay: $60,000 - $65,000 annually USD
