Overview

The Prenatal Environment And Child Health (PEACH) study at OHSU is conducting studies on pregnant women and their children in the areas of diet, nutrition, behavior, learning and cognitive functioning under the direction of Principal Investigator, Elinor Sullivan Ph.D. This position will assist the project as a point of contact for families in the study. The majority of duties will include running data collection visits with participants including behavioral assessment with children, scheduling visits and collecting biological samples. Other duties include preparing and processing materials needed for each research visit, filing, copying, data processing and other general duties in support of the goals of the study. The candidate will also attend weekly laboratory staff meetings with the PIs and senior staff members. Essential qualifications include multi-tasking, dependability, attention to detail, and ability to work at a fast paced, timely manner. Skilled at oral, email, and written communication.  Previous experience working with mothers and infants in a research setting is desired. Prior experience in EEG/ERP data collection is preferred.  Intermediate computer experience with Word and Excel, is preferred.  Interest in mental health or healthcare is desired. A regular work schedule will be assigned and must be maintained. The candidate will be required to perform weekend and evening work as needed to complete the goals of the study. 

 

This position is funded through October 31, 2025.



Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's in relevant field OR Associate's AND 2 years of relevant experience OR 3 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Basic computer and office related skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree or major studies in Psychology or Biology or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with women and children in a research setting is desired.  
  • REDCap data tool experience highly desired.
