The department of Chemistry is seeking qualified applicants to teach Organic Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory sections for the coming academic Fall/Spring semesters. Our Organic course focuses on the chemistry of functional groups; topics include hydrocarbons, alkyl halides, aromatic compounds, and stereochemistry. The associated laboratory emphasizes organic qualitative analysis. This course is taught from the "Organic Chemistry" text by Klein, with our own laboratory manual. Job Requirements:

Applicants should have completed a Masters or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, or have ABD status towards completion of their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. Particularly strong candidates will have demonstrated past experience in teaching this subject, both in lecture and in the laboratory.

At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
