Job Experience:

1. MUST BE ABLE TO READ, WRITE, AND DO ARITHMETIC.

2. MUST HAVE GOOD EYESIGHT AND BE ABLE TO JUDGE DISTANCE.

3. MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY PARTS AND KNOW THEIR DIFFERENT STAGES AND LEARN DIFFERENT ROUTINGS.

4. MUST BE ABLE TO LEARN TO USE THE SCALES AND COMPUTER.

5. MUST BE ABLE TO SAFELY OPERATE A FORKLIFT AND TRANSPORT ALL TYPES OF MATERIALS IN SKID BOXES, PALLETS AND METAL TRAYS. THIS INCLUDES PUTTING UP OR PULLING DOWN CONTAINERS OUT OF METAL RACKS.

6. MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBSERVING THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING THE FORK TRUCK.

7. WHEN ASKED TO PERFORM MISCELLANEOUS OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED BY IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR.

8. MUST HAVE A VALID LEBUS FORK TRUCK OPERATOR LICENSE.

9. MUST MAINTAIN A CLEAN AND ORDERLY WORK AREA.

10. MUST BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS AND SUSTAIN THE RESULTS.

11. MUST BE ABLE TO MEET PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS.

Forklift experience

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical / Environmental Conditions:

Moderate exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
