Position Summary:

Fluid Components International LLC, a division of DwyerOmega, seeks a results-driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead sales growth within the Midwest and Atlantic Coast territories for our Aerospace business unit. The position supports remote work (in-territory) or can be based at our San Marcos, CA facility. Future territorial expansion is likely.

This individual will drive new business development, manage key accounts, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions to OEMs, system providers, and defense contractors.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Develop and implement territory-specific strategies to drive new business and achieve assigned sales targets.

· Serve as the primary liaison for customers and channel partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

· Actively manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation through contract execution.

· Drive internal teams (engineering, production, quality, legal) to support complex proposals and deliverables.

· Maintain regular communication with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and program success.

· Provide accurate sales forecasts, territory reports, and pipeline status updates to senior management.

· Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive positioning to inform strategic sales planning.

· Represent the organization at key customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

· A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the aerospace or defense industry is required.

· Demonstrated success managing complex B2B sales cycles and securing strategic wins in a highly technical environment.

· Experience developing and managing complex proposals and long-cycle sales involving cross-functional coordination.

· Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline tracking and customer relationship management.

· Proven ability to develop tailored proposals that integrate engineering, contractual, and pricing elements.

· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

· Highly organized, self-directed, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.

Essential/Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with onboard aircraft systems, including environmental control systems (ECS), air management, hydraulics, fuel, avionics cooling, and drive systems.

· Understanding of aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD, AS9100).

· Experience selling electromechanical or fluid sensing components such as flow, pressure, temperature, and level sensors into aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

· Prior relationships or experience working with major aerospace primes or key subsystem integrators.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, system schematics, and specifications for sensor integration.

· Strong contractual and commercial negotiation skills within the aerospace or defense procurement environment, knowledgeable with FAR/DFARS flowdowns.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

· Up to 25–50% travel required, primarily within the assigned territory, including occasional international travel.

· Must be able to work extended hours when necessary to meet customer demands and deadlines.

· Role may involve time spent in manufacturing environments, requiring the use of PPE and adherence to site safety protocols.

· Frequent use of standard office equipment; prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer use.

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., marketing materials, product samples).
