Production Lead


Group O is seeking a Production Lead to coordinate a variety of activities in support of our ongoing warehouse or business operations.

As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating our various warehouse operational processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. You will lead a team of production workers, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Your role will involve scheduling production activities, monitoring workflow, and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity and meet client demand. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic production team in a demanding environment, driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.
  • Plan and organize production schedules to meet client demand, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any production-related issues.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new processes, equipment, or technologies to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory levels, and labor hours, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among production staff, promoting employee engagement and development.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in manufacturing to identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization.

Job Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with at least two years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control principles
  • Excellent leadership and people skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus

  • Experience in continual improvement and mistake proofing
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
