Position Description:
Position Description
  1. Understands federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur
  2. Works with the Adena Corporation Safety Team to plan, implement and manage all aspects of the safety program.
  3. Reports safety performance measurement with a focus on leading indicators on a monthly basis
  4. Analyzes and recommends corrective action for incidents and trends
  5. Reinforces safety culture with field employees, including subcontractors
  6. Completes weekly site visits and shop inspections utilizing Safety Auditing software
  7. Assist with maintaining hazardous chemical inventories for all operations
  8. Participate in inspections from regulatory agencies
  9. Collaborate with shop and field leaders to maintain/improve compliance
  10. Responds to incidents and assists with injury treatment protocols with occupational treatment facilities
  11. Performs incident, injury and near miss investigations
  12. Provides and oversees new hire safety orientation and training for employees including, at a minimum: Fall Protection, Ladders, Scaffolding, LOTO, Machine guarding, Fork Lift and other training as needed including utilizing outside vendors/resources
  13. Develops and distributes safety communications/alerts
  14. Management of respiratory protection program
  15. Responsible for maintaining stock and monitoring performance of PPE supplies
  16. Periodically travels out of state to service and inspect shops and projects
  17. Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
Position Requirements
  1. A.S./B.S. degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related field
  2. OSHA 30 Construction – General Industry
  3. First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  4. Strong Microsoft Office skills required
  5. Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  6. 2-5 years of General Industry safety experience a plus
