Summary/Objective:

The role of the Vice President of Manufacturing and Design is to oversee all aspects of the fabrication shops, Virtual Design, Design Build and Process Improvements for the entire company.


Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate across all ACI departments to align fabrication solutions with our manufacturing needs to reduce on-site disturbances and promote alignment between the departments.
  • Track key performance indicators to maximize efficiency
  • Partner with internal teams to proactively identify key components of each project that could benefit from innovative fabrication solutions.
  • Assure all fabrication is delivered with excellent quality and on schedule
  • Manage the process improvement initiatives of the company and implement lean construction methodologies.
  • Implement software and machinery to maximize fabrication efficiencies
  • Work with vendors to leverage scale for procurement of materials
  • Build relationships with vendors to outsource fabrication when necessary
  • Manage the design build process for our projects

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes


Required:

  • 10+ years of combined education and/or experience in manufacturing.
  • BS in Engineering
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings and documentation.
  • Ability to fill out necessary paperwork accurately and completely according to established standards.
  • High propensity for details and documenting details.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees.
  • Skills to integrate information from a variety of sources into correspondence or presentation materials or reports.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures.
  • Must be available to work assigned schedules

The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job and may include but are not limited to the following:

Work Environment:

  • Works in an Office/Shop/Manufacturing environment.
  • May spend long periods of time sitting while working on a computer.
  • May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold and dampness.
  • May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust.
  • May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights.

Physical Demands:

  • Site visits will require walking through existing buildings, industrial plants and/or on-going construction sites. This will involve stairs, and at times, ladders on multiple floors/levels.
  • While performing duties of the job, the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pulling reach overhead, stand/walk for long period of times, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

  • May require travel (typically not required or overnight)

Preferred:

  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Prior Military experience.
  • Prior management experience
