Description:

General Summary:

The Safety Operations Administrator will support the safety department by primarily assisting with the drug and alcohol testing processes. Reporting to the Safety Operations Manager, this role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. The Safety Operations Administrator will ensure that both company policy and federal regulations are adhered to and will provide administrative support to the safety team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.


Principle Accountabilities:

  • Assist with all drug and alcohol testing paperwork and communication needs across the company footprint. Work with the corporate DER (Designated Employer Representative) in charge of drug and alcohol testing to ensure all policies and communication are being followed.
  • Update drug testing information into safety management system database.
  • Facilitate, schedule, and tracking of drug and breath alcohol tests for both Electric Power and Mechanical Divisions. Working with both company and union TPA's (Third Party Administrators).
  • Manages collection of paper forms not in the safety management system, such as JSA's, daily inspection logs, etc. Communicate these items to field supervisors and safety team.
  • Assist with the ordering and managing inventory of safety equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with the administration of the Arc Rated Clothing Program.
  • Perform duties including printing, scanning, filing, and general records keeping.
  • Other support as directed by the Safety Operations Manager.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Meticulous with a commitment to accuracy, quality, effective communication, and attention to detail.


Description of Physical Working Environment:

  • Normal office environment. Routinely works from a sitting position with a computer. Repetitive typing and computer use required. Regular bending, twisting, and light lifting is common.
  • May require lifting of supply boxes or materials up to 30 lbs.
