Overview

Cambrex is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Intern to support our Maintenance Crib operations during second shift. This internship offers hands-on experience in material handling, inventory accuracy, and exposure to maintenance resource planning (MRP) systems. The role is part of a proof-of-concept to evaluate the need for expanded crib coverage, with the goal of improving mechanic efficiency and overall maintenance support.

• Perform material handling functions including pulling, issuing, and returning parts.

• Support second-shift crib operations by ensuring timely availability of parts for maintenance tasks.

• Assist with kitting and job preparation by staging parts based on daily maintenance plans.

• Perform basic operational duties such as cleaning the crib area, sweeping, and operating the floor scrubber.

• Accurately track inventory transactions in the system to improve real-time accountability.

• Participate in cycle counting activities to ensure balanced and frequent inventory verification.

• Collaborate with first shift and planning personnel to support continuity and readiness for scheduled maintenance.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
